Decided to go for Bala as I thought it might be a bit wild at Borth.

I was first to arrive at Bala and it looked fairly sedate!

Waited a little while and then drove a bit further along to check out further up the lake or carry on to Borth.

It looked like the wind was comming so I went back and started to rig up. Whilst rigging a really heavy shower went over leaving me soaked but the wind was howling.

Naturally by the time I'd rigged the rain stopped and with it the wind, hmmm.

Waited again and a few other people started to arrive. Then the wind was up and down all over the place. When it blew I was fully powered up on a 5.3m but there were lots of lulls, quite frustrating.

Managed some dry tacks in the lulls, some gybes although not very gracefully, and a bit of air on the chop!

The afternoon saw some more consistent wind for a while and got in some more good runs before packing up.

Overall a good work out but not the inconsistent wind was a let down.
